A passkey lets you sign in with your fingerprint, face, or device PIN — Touch ID, Face ID, Windows Hello, or a security key — instead of a password. It’s faster and phishing-resistant.
After signing in with your password, click Set up a passkey when prompted (or anytime in Profile → Security → Passkeys).
Next time, click Sign in with a passkey above and approve with your device — no password, no emailed code.
Add one per device; if you lose a device, remove its passkey in Profile → Security. Your password still works as a fallback.
Trouble signing in
“Passkey sign-in was cancelled.” No passkey on this device yet, or you dismissed the prompt — sign in with your password, then set one up (passkeys are per-device).
The passkey button isn’t offered. Your browser or connection may not support passkeys (they need HTTPS). Use your password and a current browser.
No verification code arriving. Check spam; confirm your profile email is correct; if it still doesn’t arrive, contact an administrator.
“You must change your password.” Expected on first sign-in — set your own password to continue.
Forgot your password / locked out. Use Forgot password? to email yourself a reset link, or sign in with a passkey. (A locked-out account still unlocks after a short wait, or immediately via passkey or a reset.)
More help is in the Help Center once you’re signed in.
